Automatic Strava Titles
Turn it on and every new generic activity, like "Morning Run", gets renamed as soon as it's uploaded to Strava. Add a short roast to the description if you want one.

Automatic titles is a free Roast My Strava feature that renames your new Strava activities for you. About half the activities our users upload keep the name the watch gave them. When a new one lands with a default name like Morning Run, Lunch Ride or Evening Walk, it gets a real title about five seconds later, written from that activity: the distance, the pace, the hour, the climbing, where you were, the photo. You don't open an app or press anything.
Pick the style once. Funny, Roast, Clever, Hype, Plain, or "Me" for titles in your own style, learned from the names you give your activities. That makes these automatic Strava titles personal: short and dry if that is how you name your runs, all caps and exclamation points if that is you. Turn on the roast too and a two-sentence roast is added under your own description, written the same way as the Activity Roast.
Anything you name yourself stays yours, before or after. Rename one of ours and it is logged and never touched again. Every title and roast shows up in your history, and every title has Undo and Get another.

Every title starts from the activity's own numbers, so the same joke never shows up twice.

Log in with Strava and open the settings page.

Pick a style and see the title your last default-named activity would have got.

Upload as usual. A few seconds later it has a real name. Undo is in your history.
Questions people ask
Which activities does it rename?
Only new activities that still have a default name like "Morning Run", "Lunch Ride" or "Evening Walk", and only ones uploaded after you switch it on. Anything you have named yourself is left alone, and so is anything private.
What if I don't like the title?
Rename it on Strava like you normally would; the app notes it and never touches that activity again. Or open your history and tap Get another, or Undo to put the default name back.
Can it write titles in my own style?
Yes. Pick "Me" and it writes titles the way you name your own activities: how long they are, your punctuation, whether you joke or keep it plain. It appears once you have named at least five of your recent activities yourself.
What does it add to the description?
One line at the end, "Titled by www.roastmystrava.com". If you turn on the roast, two sentences go under your own text first. Your own description is never changed or removed.
How is this different from Bandók or Strautomator?
Bandók swaps default names for lines from a list of puns and quotes, so the title is not about your activity. Strautomator is a rule builder for many kinds of automation; its free plan uses AI names on about one activity in ten. Automatic titles does one thing: every title is written from that activity, in the style you pick.
Is it safe to connect my Strava account?
It uses Strava's official API. You log in with Strava and allow uploads so the app can change the title and description of new activities; it can't change anything else. Turn it off on the settings page, or disconnect Roast My Strava in your Strava settings, at any time.
Does it cost anything?

Can I turn it off?
One switch on the settings page. Turning it off stops it right away; titles already written stay unless you undo them.
